POLAR

Modern leisure in the hands of forest

The “wow feature” in Polar is the huge glass wall which connects the living room to the surrounding nature and provides a great view on the lake. The mood inside the cottage changes throughout the day and the year, with the green hues of spring turning to autumn colours and the endless nights of summer giving way to dark winter evenings that invite you to sit in front of the fireplace.

Like all Patalaiska cottages, Polar has been designed so that sunrise hits the kitchen and sunset is visible from the sauna side. Polar has a warm, modern interior, two harmoniously-coloured bedrooms (with more sleeping places on the loft), and two bathrooms. The spacious and contemporary kitchen is well-equipped, and in the summertime you can eat on the outside patio. When it gets colder, a cosy fireplace next to the glass wall provides warmth to the cottage.

Have an evening swim in the clear water or grab the oars and go rowing. If you like sauna, you can heat up the one in the inside of the cottage or the one close to the waterline. The tiny lakeside sauna is often called “Moomin sauna,” as it looks like the Moominhouse from the works of Tove Jansson.

As we want to cater for our smallest visitors, too, the garden outside Polar contains sandboxes and swings, and there are cribs and highchairs inside.
